If you are looking for a great on-the-go snack (or breakfast), try my below overnight oats recipe. Overnight oats are not only easy to make, but they are nutrient dense filled with omega-3 FA’s, fiber, folate, and potassium…to name a few! It also helps to lower blood sugar levels, reduces hunger and helps with digestion.
Tip: when buying berries this time of year, frozen might just be best as they were picked during peak season, and are cheaper. Make sure the ingredients say “berries” only and do not have any added sugar.
Make Sunday night and enjoy Monday – Wednesday!
Ingredients:
½ cup of gluten free rolled oats
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
Scoop of protein powder
1 tbsp of ground flax seeds (organic)
1 tbsp of chia seeds (organic)
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Top it off with blueberries!
Directions:
Place all of the ingredients in a jar, stir well, cover and place in the fridge overnight. In the morning, give it a stir and enjoy! Make 3 at a time and now you are set for the first half of your week.
